Fans excited as The Falcon and the Winter Soldier debuts in Marvel Cinematic Universe

Since the finale episode of WandaVision was released on Friday, Mar. 5, Marvel fans have been eagerly awaiting the next exciting show on the roster, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The first episode of this new show was released on Friday, Mar. 19, and the world was exhilarated.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is about Bucky Barnes (the Winter Soldier) and Sam Wilson (the Falcon). They are both superheroes who have been often overshadowed by characters like the Avengers. However, they are now getting their time in the spotlight. It seems Marvel is starting a new era of making new shows and movies that highlight the less popular or well-known characters in the cinematic universe. They have already released WandaVision, now The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and more have been announced already like Loki. All of these shows feature the side characters from original movies like Captain America, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and more rather than the main characters, giving them more story and life.

The first episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier had a very serious mood, making viewers wonder what the theme of this new show would be. This somber tone was a stark contrast to the first few episodes of WandaVision, which were very lighthearted and fun before they lead into the serious stuff. The debut episode highlights the hardships Sam and Bucky face after the events of Avengers: Endgame. The viewers would think that everything would be wonderful after Endgame since the Avengers defeated Thanos and brought all the people back. The heroes saved the day, everyone came back into existence and the world seemed good. However, we were shown just the opposite in the first episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

There was no meetup or interaction between Sam and Bucky in the first episode, making the viewers wonder how they would start working together. The two heroes are connected by Captain America, as Bucky was his best friend back in the war and later his ally, while Sam is Captain America’s close friend and sidekick in the newer movies. Sam and Bucky never had much one-on-one interaction, so it will be interesting to see how they bond and connect.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is already showing great promise with its serious tone and the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) community is on the edge of their seats in anticipation for new episodes. The debut episode ended on a cliffhanger, showing some mysterious man sporting the stolen Captain America suit and shield. We assume that this man will be the main villain of the show, but knowing Marvel, it could be anything. There is always a great element of mystery whenever a new show like this comes out and it brings adults and children alike together to theorize and talk about the show.

Expectations are high and fans are excited to see what this brand new show has to offer for the MCU. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has fans raving and everyone is excited to see what happens with Sam and Bucky and how they save the day.
