Academic Boosters continued their annual Hoodie’Palooza fundraiser this year. After selling out of hoodies in just less than one school day, they managed to raise around $1,300 topping the outcome of last year.
“The Hoodie’Palooza was a big success,” Academic Booster Club member Lisa Cartwright said. “We raised more money than we did last year and it's always nice to have local businesses donate.”
This fundraiser was originally scheduled for March 10 and 11 but ended before the school day was over on March 10. Even with all the donations of hoodies from businesses all over Greenville, they quickly sold out.

random hoodie or candy. Many people tried multiple times and some even left with more than one hoodie.
“Some people were buying four, five and six [raffle tickets] chances to win,” Cartwright said.
The Hoodie’Palooza is put on by the donation of hoodies and 100% of the hoodies given away are donated to Academic Boosters. Many Rose families, who own local businesses, help support the Hoodie’Palooza.
When Academic Boosters reach out to local businesses for hoodies most see it as an opportunity to get their brand out. They use this to their advantage and a source of advertising as students wear their logo inside and outside of school.
“They get their name out and they all want to support Rose,” Cartwright said. “It's just nice to see all the different local businesses walking around Rose and throughout the community.”
With a beneficial outcome from the students with this year's fundraiser, the Hoodie’ Palooza will be back next spring, hoping to top the amount of money they made this year and sell even more hoodies.
